A good website for amateur photographers, CameraHobby includes instructive articles and a comprehensive ebook that covers the basic concepts and principles of photography.

COCC
Central Oregon Community College offers both degree and continuing education programs. Check their schedule for instruction in photography and digital image processing.

Critiquing Photographs
This short guide, compiled by club members from various sources on the Internet, presents ideas for critiquing photographic technique, composition and impact.

Digital Tools and Techniques

Taking Great Pictures
Kodak's nicely illustrated website includes some great tips for taking good photographs. Topics range from basics ("don't center your main subject") to more advanced (lighting, close-ups, B&W).

Luminous Landscape
The Luminous Landscape is devoted to the art of landscape, nature and documentary photography using digital as well as traditional image processing techniques. It includes instructive feature articles, product reviews, travel and technical discussions, portfolios, and a discussion forum.

Outback Photo
Digital Outback Photo focuses on the digital workflow, especially for photos shot in “raw” mode with digital SLRs. It features a handbook on making fine art with a digital camera, articles on technique, and reviews of software tools.

Photoshop Reading List
Photoshop is Adobe's premiere digital image processing software. This reading list contains books that can help you learn to use Photoshop to correct and enhance photos.

Rocky Mountain School of Photography The Rocky Mountain School of Photography holds workshops around the country to teach photography in a fun and supportive environment.
